This Postdoctoral Fellow position will play a key role in co designing and evaluating chronic care models across two major NHMRC funded five year projects focused on chronic disease prevention and management. Working under the guidance of a Senior Academic in Implementation Science for Global Health (IS4GloH) at the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH), the candidate will help drive research translation by collaborating closely with industry and government partners. The overarching aim of these projects is to improve health and wellbeing, strengthen health service delivery, and enhance implementation outcomes by collaborating with various partners including government agencies for real-world impact.
The successful applicant will hold a PhD in a relevant field (or awarded a PhD within 6 months of commencement) and will be a motivated implementation science researcher with experience in analysing qualitative and mixed-method data in a health-related discipline and applying theories, models, and frameworks (TMFs) in research and practice. Applicants who are motivated to work with a collaborative team to achieve project goals and deadlines and who can demonstrate the ability to foster respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environments, will be highly regarded.
The National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health (NCEPH) strives to improve the population’s mental and physical health through discovery, education, and the translation of research into effective health policy and practice, working on problems in Australia and Internationally.
