How you’ll make an impact
Provide leadership and expertise in place-based community engagement across mixed tenure housing in Western Australia. This role focuses on designing and delivering initiatives that strengthen connection, inclusion and participation, while fostering effective collaboration with residents, local organisations, service providers and government.
You will lead engagement and placemaking initiatives that support residents to connect, contribute and build strong local networks, while contributing to Housing Choices’ broader engagement and placemaking strategy as part of a national team.
Reporting to the Team Leader Community Engagement, you will work closely with residents, stakeholders and internal teams to deliver practical, community-focused outcomes.

- Lead major projects, provide expert advice and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with organisational values
- Support strategic initiatives and implement best practices aligned to organisational goals
- Manage risk, ensure compliance and lead process and system improvements
- Build partnerships and deliver placemaking and engagement initiatives that strengthen community outcomes
Skills and Experiences:
Desired Skills and Experience
You will bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, social science or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience leading stakeholder and community engagement in a place-based, housing, community services, local government or related environment.
Capacity to support change and innovation and deliver creative and leading practice solutions
Experience in undertaking stakeholder analysis and in preparing and executing plans and strategies.
Strong influencing and relationship management skills
You must agree to undertake any required employment screening, which may include a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
