Genus has been engaged by Rio Tinto to deliver critical electrical infrastructure as part of the Hope Downs 1 operations Project to assist in sustaining long term output and strengthening productivity of the Hope Downs 1 hub.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rio Tinto inducted Electrical Supervisor to oversee and coordinate electrical construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Provide daily support and guidance to improve Team performance.
- Supervise, monitor and evaluate personnel to ensure that all work is on schedule, to required quality and client specifications.
- Assist in the creation of electrical and instrumentation Work Packs/Test Packs.
- Ensure all Work Packs and Job Cards are kept up to date, and all changes are accounted for in a timely manner.
- Liaise with internal Engineering and Project Teams, as well as external stakeholders, to achieve the Project performance goals.
Essential criteria
- Trade Qualifications in Electrotechnology, Electrical Instrumentation or relevant similar field.
- Section 26 essential
- Valid, unrestricted WA Electrical Licence.
- Rio Tinto Inducted (highly desirable)
- Qualifications in Construction Leadership and Supervision.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in supervisory position, ideally in construction and maintenance roles.
- Valid Driver's Licence - "C" Class"
- OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work to required deadlines.
- Good judgement and decision making.
- High level communication including active listening skills.
