About Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel
Hyatt Hotel Canberra is Canberra's first hotel located in the heart of the capital. Our Heritage listed hotel interweaves the hidden mystique of the 1920s with modern Art Deco designs. With 252 rooms and suites, our hotel offers an escape within a heritage-inspired setting. The traditional furniture styles as well as garden and park views are all enhanced with sleek technology.
About the Role
The Assistant Manager Food and Beverage will oversee the food and beverage outlet within the hotel. Responsibilities may include scheduling, forecasting and training, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws as well as all operating procedures. The Assistant Manager Food and Beverage must have strong communication and analytical skills. Food and Beverage cost control experience is helpful.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Building and nurturing positive, professional relationships with both guests and colleagues alike.
- Create and manage outlet roster.
- Manage service through outlet and allocate sections.
- Conducting pre-service meetings.
- Ensuring all opening, handover and closing checklists are complete.
- Ensure that all relevant guest information is being communicated to colleagues and the kitchen.
- Daily administrative and reporting.
- Developing and maintaining service standards.
- Managing and ordering inventory.
