As Legal Counsel (2-4 PQE) at CMC Markets, you will be a key contributor within a fast-paced financial technology environment, providing critical legal support that influences strategic decisions across our operations in Australia and New Zealand. Based in our Barangaroo office, you’ll engage in a broad range of legal matters, from contract negotiation and regulatory compliance to supporting high-impact strategic initiatives.

What You Will Be Working On
As Legal Counsel, you'll:
Report to, assist and maintain a close working relationship with Senior Legal Counsel APAC and the APAC Legal Team, in order to support the wider APAC Senior Management team to deliver the strategic objectives of the region whether through every day transactional or strategic project work.
Work closely with various parts of the APAC business including Partners, Compliance, Disputes, Marketing and HR.
What Type Of Person Will Be Successful
2–4 PQE with an unrestricted practising certificate. You’ll have a strong foundation in corporate and commercial law, with the ability to clearly communicate complex legal issues to a non-legal audience. Your excellent organisational, analytical, and negotiation skills enable you to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams. You’ll be a trusted partner to the business, providing practical legal support across both transactional matters and strategic projects. An interest in financial technology, and a willingness to dive into the technical aspects of CFD and stockbroking will be highly valued in this role. You must be eligible to work in Australia permanently.
