Chef — Jinius, Walsh Bay
Jinius is looking for an experienced, reliable and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team in Walsh Bay, Sydney.
We are a busy bakery, café and restaurant with a strong focus on quality ingredients, house-made products, seasonal food and a professional team environment.
The Role
As a Chef at Jinius, you will work closely with our kitchen team across daily preparation and service, helping to maintain a high standard of food quality, consistency and organisation.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking dishes during service
- Daily mise en place and food preparation
- Maintaining consistency, presentation and quality
- Working efficiently during busy service periods
- Keeping your section clean, organised and service-ready
- Following food safety and hygiene procedures
- Assisting with stock rotation and storage
- Supporting the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail and consistency
- Reliable, punctual and well organised
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork
- Good communication skills
- Passion for quality food and ingredients
- Weekend availability is highly regarded
About Jinius
Jinius is a bakery, café and restaurant located in Walsh Bay, Sydney.
We operate seven days a week with an in-house bakery and kitchen, producing house-made bread, pastries and seasonal dishes.
Our food takes inspiration from European cooking with Korean influences, with a strong focus on fermentation, flavour and quality ingredients.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a strong kitchen team and wants to grow with the business.
