We are looking for a strong Team Manager to lead and coach the team to execute manufacturing strategy and drive improvements in safety, efficiency, and culture.
The Role
Our Chelsea Heights site is in Melbourne’s south-east, manufacturing a range of more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product every year!
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Team Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in delivering high-quality products while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Being a strong communicator and leader is essential – we are after someone who has previous manager experience and can settle in and make changes.
This role works day shift, Monday to Friday. Flexible working hours based on team and site needs. Very occasional weekend work as required.
Responsibilities
Manage the day shift manufacturing workforce across Cream to achieve quality, safety, cost and customer service targets
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to target; leading and/or resourcing of problems solving activities and identification of maintenance and other CI opportunities.
Develop short‑ to medium‑term work schedules to meet planned commitments, approving overtime or allocating additional resources as required.
Contribute to and deliver on site and team culture and engagement plans
Identifying instances of non-compliance with the organization's policies and reporting these and escalating issues as appropriate
About you
Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in FMCG
Strong communication skills – including listening and providing feedback
Problem solving skills – data-based decision making and conflict solution
Strong leadership skill – ability to coach and influence team members
Computer literacy – experience with SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other similar systems and software
