We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our 24,7 roster in Coffs Harbour.
The role of the Residential Care Officer is to provide direct support to residents while assisting in the smooth day to day operation of the household. This includes supporting residents with personal care, daily living activities, and helping people to achieve their individual goals within a residential setting, while maintaining a safe, organised, and welcoming home environment.
This is shift work, so you will need to be available for overnights, weekends, early mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Your roster will vary according to operational needs, however you can expect at least 32 hours per weeks.
Please note, there is currently an employee acting in this role. This recruitment process is being undertaken to appoint to the position on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Work
- Provide person centred care and support to residents
- Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Support with meals, medication, and daily routines
- Assist residents to participate in community, social, and recreational activities
- Follow care plans, behaviour support plans, and health procedures
Household and Administration
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and records
- Assist with household management including meal planning, shopping, and general upkeep
- Support house accounts and basic financial tracking
- Complete end of month reconciliation tasks including collecting receipts, checking balances, and preparing reports
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and organised home

- Comfortable completing both support work and administrative tasks
Requirements
- Available to work shift work across any day of the week
- Current Driver’s License
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Relevant diploma qualification in Individual Support, Community Services, or similar (desirable)
- Minimum one year experience as a Residential Care Officer
