We aren't just looking for someone who can follow a recipe; we’re looking for a Weekend Chef who understands that a perfectly poached egg or a beautifully presented roast is an act of care.
In this role, you’ll take the lead in our kitchen during the weekends, ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious, high-quality, and delicious meals in a warm, community-focused environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
•
Leading the Kitchen: Managing the meal service for lunch, and dinner.
•
Catering to Everyone: Preparing standard menus alongside specialized textures and dietary requirements with dignity and care .

Quality Control: Ensuring every plate that leaves the pass meets our high standards for taste, temperature, and presentation.

Compliance: Maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety records.
•
Teamwork: Working alongside a small, dedicated team to create a calm, efficient service.
Skills and Experiences:
Who You Are
•
A Skilled Professional: You hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
•
Experience-Driven: You’ve worked in a fast-paced kitchen, and while aged care experience is a plus, a background in hotels, hospitals, or busy cafes is highly valued.
•
Empathetic & Patient: You understand that our residents are our priority. You’re happy to tweak a dish to make someone’s day better.
•
Reliable: You’re the "weekend warrior" who takes pride in running a smooth ship while the weekday management is away.
