Porter Engineering is growing, and we’re looking for skilled trade workers who can jump in and deliver high-quality fabrication and welding work. We specialise in food production, water infrastructure, public spaces, and custom construction.

What you'll be doing
· Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications to fabricate custom metalworks components, such as tanks, pipe work, structural components and one-off custom pieces.
· Operating a variety of fabrication equipment, such as welders, grinders, and cutting tools
· Performing precision measuring, marking, and cutting of steel materials
· Assembling and welding steel components to create finished products
· Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
· Collaborating with the engineering team to find efficient solutions
· Shutdown, Project work and weekend installations
· Onsite Breakdown and call-outs
What We’re Looking For
· Stainless steel experienced
· Must be able to pass a practical welding test in Tig Stainless and Mig
· Proven skills in fabrication & welding
· Strong understanding of TIG & MIG welding
· Ability to interpret engineering drawings confidently
· Capacity to work independently and deliver quality without supervision
· Reliable, safe, and efficient work style
· White Card required
· Driver’s licence required
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
