About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a growing and professional Business Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive environment that values technical excellence, client relationships, and long-term growth.
You will work closely with senior team members and clients across a diverse portfolio of small to medium businesses, providing compliance, taxation, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, and sole traders
- Preparation of income tax returns for businesses and individuals
- Preparation and review of BAS, IAS, and GST compliance
- Client liaison and management of ongoing client relationships
- Assisting clients with accounting software (primarily cloud-based systems)
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory services
- Supporting senior accountants and managers with client work
- Maintaining accurate workpapers and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with Australian taxation and accounting standards
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in public practice accounting
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud accounting software (Xero preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work autonomously
Desirable (but not essential)
- Progressing toward or completed CA / CPA / ACCA qualification
- Experience working with small to medium business clients
- Experience with practice management software
