About the opportunity:
The Senior Draftsperson is part of the Arden Homes Drafting team and reports to the Sales Tech Team Leader. The key focus of this role is to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely drafting documentation while supporting the drafting team. More specifically, you will:
- Prepare and review siting plans, sales plans, and construction documentation in line with client requirements, council regulations, and developer guidelines.
- Maintain high-quality standards by conducting drawing checks and ensuring compliance with NCC, Australian Standards, and company procedures.
- Support daily drafting operations, ensuring delivery targets and turnaround times are met
- Support and mentor drafting team members through training, process improvement initiatives, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve design or site challenges with practical, cost-effective solutions
About you:
You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will:
- Demonstrated experience in residential drafting ideally within a volume building environment
- Proficiency in 3D Software - ArchiCAD
- Sound knowledge of Victorian building regulations, planning requirements, Codes, and overlays
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing deadlines
- Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to resolve design and site constraints
- Team focus, and strong communication skills to build solid relationships
- Experience with Knockdown Rebuild (KDR) projects is preferred.
