The Opportunity
The School of Nursing and Midwifery has two exciting Research Fellow positions available to contribute to the ENGAGE Project, an NHMRC Investigator Grant-funded program focused on improving medication management for older people transitioning between healthcare settings. These positions will support the conduct of an effectiveness and implementation study across Melbourne hospitals, promoting collaboration between older patients, families and health professionals to improve medication safety and healthcare outcomes.
These positions will contribute to key research activities including data collection through surveys and interviews, data management and analysis using REDCap, manuscript preparation, conference presentations and the development of knowledge translation resources. Working within a multidisciplinary team, these roles provide an opportunity to build research expertise in implementation science, transitions of care, medication safety and health services research.
We are seeking someone with an honours degree or higher qualification such as progress towards or completion of a doctorate in a relevant health-related discipline, such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, pharmacy, health sociology or health sciences. Successful applicants will also demonstrate experience in health services research, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation and engaging with patients, families and health professionals within healthcare environments.
If you are passionate about improving medication safety and contributing to research that enhances care for older people, we look forward to receiving your application.
