About the Role:
This is a part-time, Fixed Term position at 0.2FTE, 15.2 hours a fortnight with the Department of Adolescent Medicine, Young People’s Health Service. This position is located offsite to RCH at Melbourne City Mission (19 King Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia 3000).
You will be responsible for providing administration support to the Community Health Nurse, coordinating outreach visits to youth refuges and updating patients demographic details and immunisation status.
Internally, this position will be known and/or referred to as: Administrative Officer - Immunisation Outreach Project.
Classification for this position is in accordance with Award 10 – Managers and Administrative Workers. Depending on qualifications and experience, the successful candidate will be appointed at AO21 (Grade 2, Level 1) to AO25 (Grade 2, Level 5), with a salary range of $69,438.72 to $76,764.48 per annum, pro rata for part-time employment, plus superannuation.
What you’ll achieve:

Build and maintain working relationships with RCH and Front Yard Youth Services staff while providing high level administrative support to the Community Health Nurse

Monitor vaccine stock and order stationary supplies

Organise outreach visits with youth refuges

Register new patients and update patient details in the patient administration system

Check patient immunisation status on AUR and update Air for vaccines administered during outreach visits
Your skills and experience:
-
Experience using Microsoft 365 products such as Teams, outlook and Excel
-
An understanding of the healthcare sector with previous experience working in a hospital/healthcare environment

Experience working with diverse communities
-
Previous experience in using IBA, EMR and AIR - desirable

The Department of Adolescent Medicine provides care and management to adolescents and their families via a range of specialist multidisciplinary services including the Gender Service, Eating Disorders Service, Chronic Illness Peer Support (ChIPS), Young People’s Health Services and inpatient and outpatient medical service.
