MLG Oz is seeking an experienced Chef to join our Kalgoorlie team!

Breakfast: 2:30am – 12:30pm
Dinner: 11:00am – 9:00pm
This is a residential Kalgoorlie-based role — FIFO is not available.
Reporting to the Accommodation Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for 65+ personnel every day.
You’ll play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, including:
- Preparing and cooking breakfast or dinner meals
- Planning and organising menus
- Catering for dietary requirements and preferences
- Maintaining excellent food quality, presentation and consistency
- Managing stock, ordering and food wastage
- Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and efficient
- Supporting the team through busy meal service periods
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment and work areas
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Previous experience in bulk catering or high-volume kitchens
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong team spirit
- Pride in producing quality food consistently
- Australian Citizenship or unrestricted Australian working rights
- National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months, or willingness to obtain
