About Role:
As a Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for the coordination of the administrative function on the ward.
Key responsibilities of this job include:

Co-ordinate without direct supervision the admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure the appropriate capture in the hospital databases.

Consult with medical, allied health and other hospital support services to ensure the effective functioning of the ward while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Direct any patient or visitor queries to the relevant staff.

Maintain patients’ health record from admission to discharge in compliance to set standard and processes.

Ward desk duties, incoming phone calls, mail and Ad hoc duties as directed by the ward manager.
About You:
You will be a highly organised, process driven and initiative-taking individual. Critical to this role is an elevated level of diligence and excellent time management skills. You will need to be able to manage the fast pace and multiple demands whilst being able to prioritise tasks appropriately, meet KPI’s and ensure the hospital and patient flow requirements are meet.
Your skills will include:

Exceptional communication and customer service.

Ideally experience as a Ward Clerk or a Hospital based clerical role.

Knowledge of Meditech.

The ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
-
Committed to the Ramsay Way and have a keen desire to add positivity.

Confidence and experience with various IT systems.
