Experienced Bartender – Barista Experience Essential

Buon Appetit is a busy, high-volume Italian restaurant in the heart of Camden, and we’re looking for an experienced Bartender to join our front-of-house team.
This role is suited to someone who is confident behind the bar, works quickly under pressure and can keep up with a busy, fast-moving service.
Barista experience is also essential, as you’ll be required to confidently make coffees during service.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing cocktails, spirits, wine, beers and other beverages
- Working quickly and efficiently during busy service periods
- Managing multiple drink orders at once
- Making high-quality coffees throughout service
- Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
- Restocking fridges, glassware and bar supplies
- Working closely with floor staff and management
- Following responsible service of alcohol requirements
- Providing friendly and professional customer service
What We’re Looking For
- Previous bartending experience is essential
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Current NSW RSA
- Confident making cocktails and mixed drinks
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine and general bar service
- Confident making espresso coffees including flat whites, cappuccinos, lattes, long blacks and other standard coffee orders
- Able to work quickly and stay organised during high-volume service
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Strong attention to cleanliness and presentation
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Availability for nights and weekends

Buon Appetit is a busy, family-owned Italian restaurant specialising in authentic handmade Italian food, traditional wood-fired pizza and genuine hospitality.
Our bar can become extremely busy during peak service, so we’re looking for someone with genuine bar experience who can step in, work independently and keep drinks moving quickly and consistently.
This is not an entry-level bar position. We’re looking for someone who already has experience behind a busy bar and is confident working under pressure.
