The Lucy Saw Centre Association Inc. is an innovative, client focused organisation providing crisis accommodation, outreach and holistic support to women and their children escaping from Family and Domestic Violence (FDV.)
We are looking for a Project Officer who can support the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of projects.
The role has a strong focus on supporting the implementation of purpose-built data and information systems to strengthen the family and domestic violence (FDV) response through improved service coordination, enhanced information sharing, increased victim-survivor safety, and greater visibility of perpetrator patterns and risk. The position contributes to building a more connected, trauma-informed, and responsive service system.
The purpose of this position is:
- Coordinate and support the delivery of FDV projects and initiatives, including data and information systems to improve service coordination and outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, funding agreements, and confidentiality requirements.as follows:
- Support technology-enabled solutions that enhance safety and service coordination for people experiencing family and domestic violence.
- Assist with project planning, implementation, timelines, and reporting requirements.
- Support continuous improvement activities and evaluation processes.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Consult with government agencies, community organisations, and service providers.
- Participation in workshops, meetings, training, and community engagement activities.
- Promote culturally safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Monitor project progress and maintain accurate project documentation, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- · Minimum of two years' experience in project coordination, administration, or community services, including providing project and administrative support to initiatives of varying complexity.
- Understanding of the family and domestic violence sector and/or the social services sector.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including lived experience experts, operational teams, senior leadership, and sector partners.
- Demonstrated experience in enhancing data management and reporting processes to support project delivery, performance monitoring, and informed decision-making.
- Experience providing administrative support, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and meeting coordination.
- Ability to conduct research and prepare concise reports.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer and IT skills, particularly in the Microsoft office suite program including MS Excel.
DESIRIBLE CRITERIA:
- Qualification in community services, social work, project management, public health, or related field.
- Experience working within the FDV or community services sector.
- Knowledge of cultural safety and inclusive practice.
