We are committed to providing high-quality, compliant and person-centred services to older Australians.Due to business growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our and Finance team.
Position Summary
The Accounts Assistant will work under the supervision of the Accountant and provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support.
This role focuses on processing, reconciliation, and documentation accuracy to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with the Support at Home framework.
The position does not replace the Accountant role but is designed to assist with operational workload and strengthen internal controls.
Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Claims Support
- Assist in preparing Support at Home claims under the direction of the Accountant
- Process client invoices in accordance with approved service agreements
- Verify funding availability before claims are submitted
- Assist in monitoring client budgets and unspent funds
Reconciliation Support
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliations as assigned
- Assist in reconciling subcontractor invoices against internal service records
- Check service logs and documentation before submission to the Accountant
- Support preparation of documentation for audits or reviews
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and payment batches for review and approval
- Follow up outstanding invoices when required
- Assist with payroll reconciliation tasks
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure service documentation is complete before billing
- Maintain organised financial filing systems
- Assist in checking pricing compliance with Support at Home guidelines
- Support transport and service cost verification processes
Administrative Support
- Liaise with care managers regarding billing discrepancies
- Provide general finance administration support
Selection CriteriaEssential
- Degree in Finance, Accounting
- 1–2 years experience in accounts or bookkeeping role
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic reconciliation experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar systems
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or Korean .
Desirable
- Experience in aged care sector
- Knowledge of Support at Home framework
