As Estimator, this role will see you developing accurate project cost estimates in accordance with the Company standards and within the agreed delivery timeframes, enabling projects to be completed within budget and allow AusNet to deliver its annual CAPEX portfolio.
You will work closely with other stakeholders such as Engineers, Project Managers, Procurement and other subject matter experts to ensure that estimates accurately reflect current market rates and design and construction methodologies.

Apply project delivery knowledge to ensure accurate estimating
Maintain cost estimation libraries, ensuring rates and effort hours are kept up to date
Present project estimates to various stakeholders as part of the estimating governance process (i.e. estimate reviews and estimate challenge sessions)
Collate feedback from previously delivered projects (post implementation reviews) which will serve as input into new project estimates
Provide support to address Requests for Information as required during the project lifecycle
You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:
Demonstrated knowledge in the field of project cost estimation, with the ability to develop bottom-up estimates
Understanding the composition of a project cost estimate, including the various direct and indirect costs
Knowledge of Expert Estimation software, preferred
Knowledge of wider project delivery phases such as design, construction and commissioning, highly beneficial
