About the role:
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a collection of integrated applications or modules. These are designed to automate the business operations of an organisation (especially in the area of accounting and human resources). This helps the enterprise manage more effectively activities related to the delivery of core services alongside organisational engagement with a multitude of partners and stakeholders.
The Senior Project Officer will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of ERP initiatives, providing project leadership and coordination across the complex activities associated with the implementation of new enterprise systems. The role will be responsible for driving key project deliverables, supporting effective governance and assurance processes, managing risks and issues, and ensuring project outcomes are achieved.
Working closely with the ERP Program Director, project team members, and stakeholders, the Senior Project officer will build strong relationships across the organisation to facilitate collaboration, manage competing priorities and support the successful implementation and adoption of new systems and processes.

Your duties will include:

Provide a Senior Project Officer capability to support end-to-end reporting, governance oversight and cross-functional coordination

Lead program reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely status updates across workstreams.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders and negotiate with internal and external potential sources of information in order to obtain assistance in the provision of timely and accurate strategic advice.

Develop high-quality executive materials (briefings, papers, presentations).

Require well-developed judgement, autonomy and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple senior stakeholders.

Strengthen governance and stakeholder engagement, reporting directly to the Program Director.

Provide leadership to 1–2 staff, uplifting reporting quality and program coordination capability.
About You:
The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
-
Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating complex project activities, including planning, governance, risk management, and delivery of project outcomes.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships, influence decision-making, and effectively liaise with senior leaders and project teams.

Proving ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment, exercising sound judgement and initiative to drive project outcomes and support successful implementation.
-
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative and problem-solving skills to identify issues, manage risks and drive successful project outcomes.

Experience supporting business transformation initiatives, including the implementation of new enterprise systems, processes and ways of working,
-
Experience working with cross-functional teams to support the delivery, adoption and successful implementation of new systems and business processes.

A relevant tertiary education would be desirable, but not essential.

This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
