About the role
Mission Ability is looking for a reliable and respectful support worker based in Southbank or a nearby suburb.
The role will begin with regular support for a client in Southbank, including home care, domestic assistance and transport to appointments. Additional shifts may be offered as new services become available.
Key responsibilities
- Provide domestic assistance in the client’s home
- Support the client with transport and community access
- Use your own vehicle when required for approved client transport
- Follow the client’s support plan and preferences
- Complete progress notes and service records accurately
- Report any concerns, incidents or changes in the client’s needs
- Maintain the client’s privacy, dignity and independence
About you
You’re dependable, patient and comfortable working independently in the community. You communicate clearly, arrive on time and understand the importance of building trust with clients.
Requirements
- Experience in aged care, home care or disability support
- Current driver’s licence
- Reliable, registered and insured vehicle
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or compliant National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Australian working rights
- Ability to use a mobile app for shift information and progress notes
- Willingness to complete Mission Ability’s induction and required training
A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or a related qualification is desirable but not essential.
