With weekly product launches, a strong online presence and our flagship store at Melbourne Central, we're passionate about bringing the latest global trends to Australian customers.
We're looking for an experienced Retail Manager who is passionate about fashion, understands customer buying behaviour, and has a strong commercial mindset. This is much more than a traditional retail management role - you will play a key role in deciding what products we sell, how we price them, and how we maximise sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product selection and seasonal assortment planning based on customer trends, sales performance and market insights.
- Develop pricing strategies that maximise sales, profitability and brand positioning.
- Analyse sales data, inventory turnover and product margins to optimise the product range.
- Identify emerging fashion and jewellery trends from Australia and overseas.
- Work closely with suppliers to source new products and negotiate commercial outcomes.
- Plan weekly product launches and promotional activities.
- Manage inventory levels, replenishment and stock allocation.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on product campaigns and new launches.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting customers with product selection, styling advice and product knowledge when required.
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficient workflows, excellent customer experiences and achievement of sales targets.
- Prepare and monitor store budgets, analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and control operating costs.
- Recruit, train, coach and lead retail team members, fostering a positive, high- performing workplace culture.
- Ensure the store operates in accordance with company policies and complies with all relevant workplace health and safety legislation.
- Collaborate with senior management to identify growth opportunities, improve operational processes and support the continued expansion of the business.
Essential Requirements
- Diploma of Business or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of retail business management experience.
- Strong experience in product selection, assortment planning or purchasing.
- Proven ability to develop pricing strategies and improve product profitability.
- Excellent analytical skills with confidence interpreting sales and inventory data.
- A passion for fashion, jewellery and identifying emerging consumer trends.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Excellent leadership and people management capabilities.
- Experience in eCommerce retail will be highly regarded.
- High attention to detail with the ability to make commercially driven decisions.
Pay: $78,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
