About the Role
Liorn Support and Care is an NDIS-registered provider dedicated to maintaining high professional standards and making a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
We are currently seeking dedicated and qualified Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across the Gold Coast. In this role, you will provide vital support to a diverse range of clients, assisting them in achieving their goals, maintaining their independence, and living fulfilling lives.
Our roles involve varying levels of support, including high-level personal care, community access, and capacity building. We require compassionate support workers with strong communication skills to effectively engage with and advocate for our clients.
The Schedule
We offer flexible casual rosters to suit a variety of lifestyles, with opportunities to build a consistent schedule across multiple clients.
Availability Preferences: We are looking for team members with flexible availability to support our clients' diverse needs. Available shifts commonly include:
- Mornings & Days: Early starts and standard daytime support.
- Evenings: Afternoon and evening routine assistance.
- Weekends: Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- Overnights: Sleepover and "Active Overnight" shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality personal care with dignity and respect.
- Assisting with daily living activities, household tasks, and meal preparation.
- Facilitating community access, social participation, and transport.
- Communicating effectively with clients, their families, and the wider support team.
- Implementing individualised support plans and helping clients reach their NDIS goals.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Ageing) or higher is essential.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills to effectively interact with clients and complete required reporting.
- Clearances: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and relevant industry credentials (e.g., First Aid/CPR).
- Work Rights: Must have the legal right to work in Australia without needing sponsorship at any time.
- Transport: A valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle are highly regarded for community access shifts.
