Simply Helping Brisbane South is looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our growing local team.
We provide personalised in-home and community support that helps older Australians and people living with disability maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
As a locally owned and operated business, we value strong relationships with both our clients and our team members.
About the role
You will provide support to clients across Brisbane South, including areas such as MacGregor, Sunnybank, Calamvale, Runcorn, Mount Gravatt and surrounding suburbs.
Services may include:
- Personal care and daily living assistance
- Community access and transport
- Meal preparation and shopping
- Domestic assistance and household tasks
- Gardening and basic yard maintenance
- Basic handyman assistance
- Pet care and pet sitting support
- Family and respite support where appropriate
About you
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including people from LGBTIQ+ communities and those with experience across a variety of industries, such as disability support, aged care, cleaning, gardening, maintenance, childcare and hospitality.
You will ideally have:
- A caring and reliable nature
- Good communication skills
- The ability to work independently
- Previous experience in support work or a related field (preferred)
Essential requirements
- Current Driver's License and reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working With Children Check / Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Full Australian working rights
