Primary objective
Support the delivery of high-quality training and administrative services for the Training and Development team by coordinating
day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate scheduling and documentation, promoting compliance with established training
standards, procedures and best practices, and delivering training under the guidance of senior trainers.
Context statement
Information Services provides best practice advice and records management services to NTG client agencies. Structured into several
work teams, a wide range of services are delivered including training development and delivery, courier and mail services, records
management, help desk services, records appraisal, sentencing and disposal, digital policy, Freedom of Information and Privacy.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Contribute to the delivery of information management training and support services to client agencies.
2. Provide advice and assistance to client agencies on information management matters relating to the delivery of systems training.
3. Maintain and administer business information systems, training resources and associated documentation.
4. Provide accurate advice to the manager on the delivery and maintenance of relevant services, identify potential risks and issues,
and assist in resolving more complex client matters.
5. Research and analyse relevant information and data, and contribute to the delivery of projects and service improvement
initiatives.
6. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes, service delivery
and work practices.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience maintaining documentation such as user guides, knowledge articles, work instructions, technical documentation,
policies and procedures.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and provide accurate advice, responsive client service and support to
stakeholders.
3. Well-developed business systems skills, including experience with training, records management or other corporate information
systems.
4. Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities to improve service delivery,
processes and systems.
5. Ability to undertake small projects, including researching, analysing, reviewing and verifying information, and making evidence-
based recommendations.
6. Ability to work collaboratively to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients, while maintaining
appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
7. Demonstrated work ethic and behaviour that reflects DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,
accountability, impartiality, diversity and respect.
Desirable
Previous experience in providing business systems support and/or training and development support services.
