About School Infrastructure | Demountable Program
The Demountable Program manages the maintenance, refurbishment, storage and relocation of demountable accommodation. The program coordinates the critical Day 1, Term 1 installation program to meet the needs of NSW schools.
About the role
- Implement effective workflow practices to support the Demountable Program and Schools Infrastructure
- Undertake general administrative duties to support the effective functioning and operation of the office
- Undertake a range of financial management duties which includes the processing, recording and reconciliation of financial records.
- Coordinate office systems, procedures and organisational methods to improve office efficiency in accordance with policies, procedures and standards.
- Maintain the TRIM computerised records management system and create, store and retrieve and archive files to ensure the accurate and safe storage of information
- Conduct accurate, effective records administration ensuring systems are kept up to date and all record movements are correctly tracked
- Complete word processing and spreadsheet tasks to support team initiatives and undertake activities to support communication initiatives using social media
- Provide back-up support to other roles within the office to ensure business continuity and quality customer services are provided at all times

About you
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Great organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks in a high-volume environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook
- Experience in Procurement, Project Management and Contract Administration (or a willingness to up-skill in this area)
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
- On site presence at the Gateshead West Office
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
