Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, you’ll join the project’s plant maintenance team, providing electrical maintenance and repair support across a substantial fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment and light vehicles.

About the role
As an Auto Electrician, you’ll provide electrical maintenance services across Georgiou’s project fleet, helping ensure our plant, equipment and light vehicles remain safe, reliable and available for operations.
You’ll undertake maintenance, repairs, installations and fault finding across a variety of earthmoving equipment and vehicles, working closely with the broader maintenance team to minimise downtime and support project production.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform electrical maintenance, servicing and repairs across heavy mobile plant and light vehicles
- Diagnose electrical faults and undertake effective troubleshooting and repairs
- Carry out electrical installations and general service work as required
- Support preventative and scheduled maintenance activities across the project fleet
- Respond to breakdowns and work efficiently to minimise equipment downtime
- Maintain electrical systems across a range of heavy earthmoving equipment
- Identify defects and emerging electrical issues before they impact plant availability
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and to required standards
- Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and wider maintenance team to prioritise repairs
- Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with Georgiou’s safety, quality and compliance requirements
Your skills and experience
- Australian recognised trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
- Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant and earthmoving equipment
- Strong electrical diagnostic, fault-finding and troubleshooting capability
- Experience working across earthmoving equipment and light vehicles
- Experience with CAT or similar heavy mobile plant will be highly regarded
- Air-conditioning experience is highly regarded
- Previous mining, FIFO or large-scale civil construction experience will be highly regarded
- Strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
- Construction White Card
- Valid C Class driver’s licence, with HR licence highly regarded
- Physically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the role
