Positive Pumping is a trusted provider of concrete pumping and civil concreting services, delivering high-quality outcomes across residential, commercial and civil construction projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Concreting Technician to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting to management, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and overseeing civil concreting works from commencement through to completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing site sketches, project layouts, work plans and technical documentation for civil concreting projects.
- Conducting site inspections and field assessments to determine project requirements and site conditions.
- Interpreting construction drawings, specifications and work instructions to ensure works are completed correctly and efficiently.
- Coordinating site activities and directing field operations, including the effective allocation of labour, equipment and resources.
- Collecting, reviewing and analysing project information, measurements and site data.
- Assisting with estimating material quantities, project costs and resource requirements.
- Monitoring work quality and ensuring completed works comply with project specifications, relevant standards, regulations and contractual requirements.
- Inspecting completed concreting works and identifying maintenance, repair or rectification requirements where necessary.
- Supervising maintenance and repair works to ensure quality outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Liaising with project managers, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to support smooth project delivery.
- Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture across all worksites.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Experience in civil construction, concreting, concrete pumping, earthmoving or related construction industries.
- Strong understanding of civil concreting practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering, construction and site plans.
- Experience supervising site personnel and coordinating contractors.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Current driver's licence.
- Relevant civil construction, engineering or trade-based qualifications will be highly regarded.
