Payroll Officer
Are you an experienced Payroll Officer who takes pride in accuracy, compliance, and delivering exceptional service? Join Southern Cross Care (SCC) and become part of a collaborative Finance team of 5 that ensures our people are paid correctly and on time, every pay cycle.
The Role - Epping Head Office - 12 month Fixed-Term Contract
In this role, you'll manage end-to-end payroll processing in a high-volume environment, (2000 +) maintain employee records, interpret time and attendance data, process leave and termination payments, and ensure compliance with payroll legislation, enterprise agreements, taxation, and superannuation requirements. You'll also partner closely with People & Culture, managers, and external stakeholders to resolve payroll queries and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What we require
- End-to-end payroll processing with a focus on accuracy and compliance
- Interpretation of payroll legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements
- Payroll reporting, LSL Board returns, Same Day Superannuation, and Workers Compensation
- Proficient in payroll, time and attendance (T&A) systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and confidentiality
- Excellent customer service and payroll query resolution
Essential
- 3+ years' payroll experience in a high-volume team environment
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience meeting strict payroll deadlines and managing competing priorities
- Exposure to payroll audits and reporting
- Experience in health, aged care, or timesheet-driven environments
- Familiar with Payroll Metrics and RosterOn
