Westside Connections is a growing Western Australian-owned utility services company specialising in powerline construction, maintenance, and network services. We are currently seeking an experienced Switching Operator to join our team.
About the Role
As a Switching Operator, you will play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient delivery of works across the network. You will be responsible for coordinating switching activities, managing network access requirements, and working closely with field crews to ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with all relevant procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and perform switching operations within the Western Power network.
- Liaise with Network Operations, field crews, pilots, and project personnel.
- Ensure all switching activities comply with Western Power procedures and safety requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate switching documentation.
- Support planned and emergency works as required.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Current Western Power Switching Operator Authorisation.
- Previous experience operating within the Western Power network.
- Strong understanding of network safety requirements and operational procedures.
- Current WA Driver's Licence.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Cert 3 Trade Qualification
Desirable
- ESI qualifications.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience in powerline construction and maintenance environments.
- Transmission Switching
