About the Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Laboratory Supervisor and work on an 8:6 roster. Your focus will be on conducting accurate analyses of samples provided by production teams, ensuring the work is done safely, efficiently, and on time.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hazard-free laboratory workspace, ensuring equipment is safely operated and well-maintained.
- Conducting and reporting on various lab tests and metallurgical investigations, processing samples as required.
- Operating, maintaining, and monitoring the condition of critical lab instrumentation, including AAS, Eltra, and sample preparation machines.
- Collaborating with the Processing team to safely operate shared equipment and support continuous laboratory operations.
- Providing ongoing feedback to improve site systems, optimise processes, and ensure high-quality, accurate reporting.
- Managing laboratory consumables and cost analysis using systems like Pronto.
About You
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Laboratory Technician in either a commercial or mining laboratory.
Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Experience with sample preparation, wet chemistry techniques, and moisture measurement.
- Proficient in using the Agilent AA 240 under both flame conditions.
- Strong competency in the MS Office suite (Word and Excel).
- Current C class driver’s licence (manual).
