We're looking for an experienced People Services & Programs Advisor who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service while continuously improving the way things are done.
This is much more than a traditional HR Advisor role.
You'll become the subject matter expert (SME) for Cater Care's visa sponsorship, immigration and work rights portfolio—a critical component of our national talent strategy that enables us to attract and retain skilled employees, particularly within our culinary workforce, while continuing to build a diverse and sustainable talent pipeline across the business.
Alongside this specialist portfolio, you'll coordinate the day-to-day workflow of a small team of People Coordinators and Administrators, oversee complex employment administration and support the delivery of enterprise-wide People programs and projects.
Working closely with our Manager, People Services and Senior People Partner, you'll play a key role in shaping a modern, customer-focused People function that supports our leaders and employees across Australia.
Description:
What you'll be doing
- Lead Cater Care's visa sponsorship, immigration and work rights portfolio, acting as the organisation's SME and partnering with leaders, external migration providers and government agencies to deliver a compliant, seamless and strategic service.
- Support our national workforce strategy by helping attract and retain skilled international talent, ensuring our sponsorship program continues to strengthen capability across key operational roles, including our chefs and culinary teams.
- Coordinate the day-to-day workflow of a small team of People Coordinators and Administrators, providing guidance, coaching and support to deliver exceptional service.
- Manage complex employment administration across the employee lifecycle.
- Support annual People programs including Annual Reviews and the Service Delivery Excellence Awards.
- Support enterprise-wide People initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Build strong relationships with leaders across the business to deliver practical, responsive and customer-focused People support.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
- Previous experience in Human Resources, People Services or Employee Lifecycle Administration
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Sound knowledge of employment documentation, compliance and people processes
- Exposure to visa and immigration administration or a willingness to develop expertise in this area
- Excellent communication skills and confidence building relationships with diverse stakeholders
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
