Ample Care Support Services is currently looking for reliable, experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and provide ongoing support to a client living with quadriplegia.
We are looking for staff who are confident providing high-level personal care and physical assistance and who understand the importance of dignity, choice and person-centred support.
Key responsibilities may include:
* Personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
* Manual handling, transfers and repositioning
* Assistance with mobility and wheelchair use
* Pressure care and skin integrity support
* Medication assistance, where required
* Meal preparation and assistance with daily living activities
* Community access and appointments
* Completing progress notes and following the client’s care/support plans
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting clients with quadriplegia, spinal cord injury or high physical support needs is highly preferred
* Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability or a related qualification
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check, where applicable
* Current First Aid & CPR
* Valid Australian driver’s licence
* Reliable and professional
* Good communication and documentation skills
* Must be comfortable with manual handling and personal care
