Experienced Fruit Picker NEEDED
BT Trading and Contracting Pty Ltd was established in 2025 and operates an integrated horticultural production and harvest services business across multiple regions in Australia, including farming operations in the Northern Territory. The business operates approximately 120 acres of farmland in the Northern Territory used for the cultivation of horticultural crops, including table grapes, melons and honey dew.
We are seeking an experienced Fruit Picker to support our ongoing farming operations and assist with harvesting, sorting, packing and preparing produce for distribution. This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual.
Location: Alice Springs, NT
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
· Harvests fruit crops, including table grapes and other produce, in accordance with quality and production requirements.
· Selects and picks ripe fruit by hand using appropriate harvesting techniques to minimise damage to produce and plants.
· Identifies and discards damaged, diseased or overripe fruit during harvesting processes.
· Sorts, grades, bunches and packs harvested produce for storage, transport and distribution.
· Loads harvested produce into bins, containers or transport vehicles and assists with general handling and movement of produce on the farm.
· Cleans and maintains picking tools, bins, containers and work areas to ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained.
· Assists with general farm duties associated with harvesting operations, including setting up harvesting equipment and maintaining picking areas.
· Complies with workplace health and safety procedures and follows farm quality assurance requirements.
Experience
· Holds at least an AQF Certificate I or completed relevant on the job training or compulsory secondary education
· Have at least 1 year full time work experience (or equivalent)
· Previous experience and strong technical knowledge in this industry are preferred.

Annual salary package: $68,000 per annum plus superannuation
Pay: $68,000.00 per year
