About the role
Reporting to the National Mining Product Support Manager – Trucks, you'll provide technical expertise to support the performance and continuous improvement of Hitachi mining trucks.
You'll work closely with our regional branches, field teams, and the product OEM to investigate equipment issues, improve fleet reliability and ensure technical solutions are delivered efficiently.
What you'll be doing
- Monitor and analyse fleet performance to identify reliability trends and emerging issues.
- Investigate complex technical faults and support timely issue resolution.
- Work with the OEM to escalate, track and resolve product-related concerns.
- Drive continuous product improvement initiatives across the truck fleet.
- Manage and communicate technical bulletins, service campaigns and product updates.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and customers.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across service, engineering and mining operations.
About you
You'll be an experienced technical professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working collaboratively with customers and engineering teams.
Ideally you'll bring:
- Experience supporting heavy mining equipment, ideally haul trucks.
- A trade qualification or engineering qualification (Electrical or related discipline).
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation and equipment performance data.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer outcomes.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
