Community Housing Limited is seeking an Accounts Officer to join our Accounts team and support the effective operation of essential accounting services. Based at our Blackburn office and reporting to the Accounts Payable Team Leader, this role will help ensure invoices, payments, reconciliations and stakeholder queries are processed accurately, efficiently and in line with compliance, audit and accounting standards.
This is a permanent, full-time role based in Blackburn, Victoria, working office hours. It offers a competitive salary, superannuation, salary packaging (increasing your take home pay!) and flexible working arrangements.
What you’ll do
As an Accounts Officer, you will undertake accounts payable activities and provide support across the wider Accounts team.
You’ll help keep accounts payable running smoothly by:

Processing invoices, rent refunds and bond payments accurately and on time.

Managing data entry, imports and reconciliations to support clean, reliable finance records.

Liaising with staff, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve queries and keep payments moving.

Supporting audit, compliance and governance requirements through accurate documentation.
What You’ll Bring

2+ years’ experience in accounts or accounts payable, ideally in high-volume invoicing.

Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data, reconciliations and finance systems.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Outlook.

Clear, professional communication skills and a helpful approach with staff, suppliers and stakeholders.
