About the Role
The primary role is to support the effective, timely, and accountable delivery of humanitarian and disaster-response projects by applying structured project management approaches across the full program cycle. Working under the direction of the IPC-HCU and IPM, the role ensures that all response initiatives are appraised, coordinated, and monitored to a high standard.
This role will also provide administrative and project management support to the IP department with administration including implementing effective processes and documentation.
About you
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Aligned to the Vision and Mission of Baptist World Aid
- Good organisational skills including the ability to plan, organise, prioritise and implement workflows and processes to meet positional objectives, work independently and be proactive.
- Detail orientated with no task too small.
- Team orientated – willing to support the team and be flexible.
- Aptitude and interest in learning and engagement with learning
- An understanding of compliance issues and requirements for ACFID Code of Conduct, Australian Aid programs and other sectoral standards.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, CRM.
Desirable knowledge Skills and Experience
- Understanding of community-based development as an approach to poverty alleviation
- Understanding of key humanitarian/disaster management-related international standards, including the CHS, IFRC CoC and Sphere standards.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications: ideally an undergraduate degree in international development, social sciences or related disciplines
- Technical writing or proof-reading skills
- Experience in the Church/Not-for-Profit/Charity sector
