We’re Looking for Two Different Kinds of Magic…
One creates magical moments with children.
The other makes sure 70 little tummies are safely fed.
Both are essential to our Chipmunks family.
Chipmunks in the Hills is looking for some wonderful people to join our growing team in Rooty Hill.
The Memory Makers: Full-Time Certificate III Educators
We’re not looking for someone who simply “watches children.”
We’re looking for educators who notice the little things:
The child quietly trying to join the group
The tower that took six attempts to build
The question that turns into a week-long investigation
The small achievement that deserves a very big celebration
At Chipmunks, our educators are relationship builders, play partners, storytellers, comfort givers and champions of childhood.
You’ll need:
- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training
- Current child protection training
- An understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards
- Full-time availability across rotating shifts
- A warm heart, a playful spirit and a willingness to grow with us
Most importantly, we want someone who understands that children may not remember every experience planned, but they will remember how we made them feel.
The Tummy Hero Kitchen Hand- 8:30 am–3:00 pm
Every great childcare service has someone behind the scenes making sure meals arrive safely, dietary requirements are followed and no one discovers at 8:29 am that the milk has run out!
Kids Gourmet Food supplies our meals and menus. Your role will be to keep our daily food service safe, organised and running smoothly.
Your mission will include:
- Receiving, checking and safely storing KGF meals
- Heating, portioning and delivering meals to the correct rooms
- Preparing breakfast, snacks and additional food items
- Carefully managing allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements
- Checking labels, temperatures, expiry dates and deliveries
- Completing food-safety records
- Keeping the kitchen, equipment and meal trolleys clean
- Ordering milk, bread, cereals, crackers, rice cakes, fruit and other essentials
- Planning ahead for centre events, celebrations and family functions
- Ordering and preparing items such as fruit platters when required
- Keeping the kitchen stocked without unnecessary waste
- Ensuring the kitchen remains secure and child-free
You don’t need an early childhood qualification, but you do need to be reliable, organised, safety-conscious and confident managing stock and food-service responsibilities.
Previous kitchen, catering or childcare food-service experience is desirable. A current NSW Working with Children Check and relevant food-safety training will also be required.
What Makes Us Different?
We don’t want to build a team where people simply clock in and count down until home time.
We want to build a place where:
People feel comfortable sharing their ideas
Children are known, heard and celebrated
Families feel like they belong
Team members support one another
Laughter is part of the working day
Everyone understands that their role matters
Whether you’re creating meaningful learning experiences or making sure every child receives the correct meal, you’ll be helping us build something special from the very beginning.
