Agriculture Victoria is seeking a Senior Project Officer to join the Biosecurity System and Emergency Policy team. This role contributes to initiatives that strengthen Victoria's biosecurity system and emergency management capability through preparedness planning, capability development and continuous improvement activities.
You will work across a varied portfolio that includes preparedness projects, capability development, exercises, lessons management, strategic analysis and development of tools and resources that support organisational readiness. The role provides opportunities to work with stakeholders across government and industry while contributing to projects that help Victoria prepare for and respond to biosecurity and emergency management risks.
We are looking for a capable and adaptable professional who can analyse complex issues, deliver projects and develop practical solutions in a dynamic environment. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills will be highly regarded.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification would be well regarded.
Knowledge of preparedness, emergency management, project delivery, policy development or biosecurity systems is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
