Every piece of equipment is designed, manufactured and assembled in-house by our team, with a strong focus on quality, reliability and craftsmanship. Our equipment is used by customers throughout Australia and around the world.
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on person to join our team in a long-term position.
About the Role
This position has become available as part of the planned retirement of a long-serving team member. You'll work alongside them during a structured handover, gaining valuable product knowledge and practical experience before progressively taking ownership of the role.
You'll be responsible for the final assembly of our industrial furnaces before they are tested and prepared for dispatch.
The role combines mechanical assembly, electrical component assembly, quality control and problem solving. While we manufacture a range of standard products, every project has its own variations, making this a hands-on role with plenty of variety.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical assembly of furnace equipment.
- Installing doors, hinges, insulation and refractory components.
- Mounting electrical enclosures and components.
- Connecting equipment using electrical schematics and assembly drawings.
- Installing burners, fans and associated equipment.
- Carrying out quality inspections throughout the assembly process.
- Assisting with preparing equipment for dispatch.
About You
You're someone who enjoys building things and takes pride in producing quality workmanship.
You may come from a background such as:
- Mechanical Fitting
- Maintenance Fitting
- Industrial Electrical
- Switchboard Assembly
- Industrial Equipment Assembly
- Machinery Assembly
- Automotive or Heavy Vehicle Trades
- Industrial Maintenance
You'll ideally have:
- Experience assembling industrial machinery or similar equipment.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- The ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A logical approach to problem solving.
- The ability to work independently and within a small team.
