Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Floor Finisher to join our team on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure work areas and estimate the quantity of flooring materials required. Prepare subfloors by removing existing floor coverings, cleaning and levelling surfaces. Measure, cut and install underlay materials. Install carpet, vinyl, hybrid, laminate and timber flooring. Cut and fit floor coverings around walls, stairs, door frames and fixtures. Install edge trims, transition strips and stair nosings. Apply adhesives and secure flooring materials in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Repair or replace damaged floor coverings when required. Assist with sanding, staining and finishing timber floors where required. Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe worksite. Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification or at least two years of relevant full-time industry experience. Demonstrated experience installing carpet, vinyl, hybrid, laminate and timber flooring. Ability to accurately measure, cut and install flooring materials. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current driver’s licence is desirable.
