The Clinical Nurse - Simulation Coordinator delivers expert clinical education and support to healthcare professionals throughout the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), using simulation-based education to facilitate best practice, quality education and high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for the introduction of innovative concepts in non-behavioural skills and provides technical support and advice to THHS simulation pocket centres.
Requirements:
Mandatory:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position.
Completion of Technical Simulation Training and fundamentals of debriefing are a mandatory requirement of this position.
Highly Desirable:
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus.
Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in Clinical Education and/ or Cert IV in Training and Assessment.
Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
Travel: This position may be required to travel to (via small planes or ferry), and work at, other facilities located within the THHS, e.g., participate in clinical activities or meetings for planning, quality, performance and education. This may involve day and/or overnight stays. The successful applicant must be able to commit to this requirement.

Salary range: $57.48 to $61.55 p.h. (NG6-1)
