The Fox Hole is looking for a Head Bartender to help lead one of Sydney’s most unique hospitality venues.
Part cocktail bar, part experience venue, we’re known for premium drinks, warm service, and creating nights people actually remember. From Gin & Tea and Discovery Dinners to late-night cocktails and intimate celebrations, service at The Fox Hole is about more than just making drinks.
This role isn’t just about cocktails.
We’re looking for someone who can lead a service, build systems, support a team, and create calm under pressure. Someone who understands that the best bars aren’t built on ego - they’re built on consistency, hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine connection with guests.
Customer interaction is a huge part of this role. We want someone who is comfortable talking to guests, guiding experiences, building relationships, and helping create the atmosphere The Fox Hole is known for. You don’t need to be a performer, but you do need to enjoy hospitality and the people that come with it.
You’ll work closely with our Venue Manager and Guest Experiences Leader to help shape the next phase of The Fox Hole.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading bar service across busy evenings and experiences
- Maintaining exceptional cocktail consistency and presentation
- Managing prep systems, ordering, cleanliness, and operational standards
- Supporting and training bartenders and junior staff
- Helping improve service flow and bar efficiency
- Contributing to menu development and product knowledge
- Supporting a premium guest experience from open to close
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has strong cocktail bar experience in a premium venue
- Leads calmly and professionally under pressure
- Is organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Understands both hospitality and operations
- Can balance speed with warmth and service
- Enjoys mentoring and developing junior staff
- Has a genuine interest in spirits, wine, and hospitality culture
- Feels comfortable interacting with guests and creating memorable experiences
Experience with premium cocktails, wine service, and high-touch hospitality environments will be highly regarded.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
