The Team & Role
The Grade 2 Acute Physiotherapist provides safe, personal, effective and connected care to patients based at Frankston Hospital, managing a caseload across varied clinical areas including general medical, acute care of the elderly, respiratory, general surgery and cardiac ward, with flexibility to cover ICU as required and to provide physiotherapy services at other Peninsula Health sites/services as directed by the Head of Physiotherapy. The role provides high quality Physiotherapy services to an acute caseload, ensuring specialised provision of care to enhance recovery and prevent functional decline, discharge planning and facilitation of patient flow, while providing leadership, education and support to Grade 1 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and Physiotherapy students to ensure excellent care. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, clear and effective communication, continuous learning, critical thinking and problem solving, and being open to change and continuous improvement, with opportunities to represent the Physiotherapy service and identify and act on service improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required
Registration with the Physiothe rapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Experience in providing Physiotherapy to cardio-respiratory, general medical and surgical patients
Recent ICU experience
Able to competently and autonomously perform high quality Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and patient management, including thorough and appropriate discharge in an acute setting
Demonstrated skills in the provision of clinical supervision and clinical education
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
Demonstrated commitment to continuous and innovative improvement through quality and/or research activities
