The role:
ALS Oil & Lubricants in Canning Vale provides testing and analysis to ensure optimal fluid health for our clients' equipment.
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to work the morning shift .
This is a full-time role with 8-hour shifts , Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm .
You will work in a small team in our NATA-accredited oil analysis laboratory, analysing oil, coolant, fuel, and grease samples.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate through an incremental, structured training program.

The day to day:
You will be responsible for the following:
Labelling and unpacking samples
Sample registration
Routine sample testing, including:
ICP-OES
FTIR
Viscosity
Particle counting
Colour analysis
Acid-base titrations
Karl Fischer titrations
Basic equipment calibration
Working as part of a team comprising laboratory technicians, technical support staff, and leadership
Performing housekeeping duties as required
Working to safety guidelines in accordance with policies and procedures
Moving and lifting racks and boxes in the 5–10 kg range
Warehouse duties, including setting up kits for clients and dispatching and receiving goods
The essentials
Be a team player who enjoys working within a group environment
Have a current Forklift licence or be willing to obtain one
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under reasonable pressure
Have excellent communication skills
Have great attention to details
Be willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required
Previous experience using a LIMS would be desirable but not essential
Cert IV or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques or similar is advantageous
