We are NT's leading glazing and aluminium service provider. We are now hiring skilled Glaziers with positive work attitude on a full time basis
Glaziers Responsibilities and duties includes:
- Interpreting blueprints to determine the shape, size, colour and thickness of glass for installation procedures.
- Cutting glass and aluminium sections to size and specifications in the workshop and on the job site.
- Installation of all glazing products (Sliding glass doors, sliding glass windows, Louvre glass windows, fix glazing, showerscreens, mirrors, glass balustrade and all other glazing product relevant to the glazing industry)
- Measuring and manufacturing all aluminium security screens relevant to glazing windows and doors.
- Installation of all aluminium security screens relevant to glazing windows and doors
- Measuring, cutting and fitting anti-glare film to glass if required.
- Load and arrange glass, aluminium frames and mirrors onto delivery trucks, using suction cups to lift glass and all other appropriate tools for other type of materials.
- Install pre-assembled metal/alumiunium or wood frameworks for windows, doors and showerscreens to be fitted with glass panels, using hand tools.
- Fabricating and installing mouldings for glass, shower screens installation.
- Cutting and removing broken glass prior to new installation.
- Fabricate and install metal/aluminium sashes and mouldings for glass installation, using aluminium or steel framing.
- Set glass doors into frames, and bolt metal hinges, handles, locks, and other hardware to attach doors to frames and walls.
- Cleaning the job area once glass has been installed and the client is satisfied.
Glaziers Requirements
- 3+ years working as a glazier or commercial glazier.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- High level in measuring and foreseeing potential issues on site
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Good communication skills.
- Professional appearance
- Ability to deal with stressful situations
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to take instructions from supervisor and follow through as required
- Handover appropriate report upon completion of works
