We are a leading hospitality provider located along the iconic Great Northern Highway in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Handyperson to join our team.
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out general repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and facilities.
- Repair or replace broken or damaged items such as windows, screens, doors, fences, shelves, cupboards, picnic tables, and barbecues.
- Replace defective fittings and consumables, such as light bulbs and tap washers.
- Repair and paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, and fences.
- Adjust and maintain doors, windows, and other fixtures so they operate correctly.
- Install fittings such as handrails, grab rails, shelving, and similar items.
- Mow lawns, maintain gardens, and clear rubbish and leaves from driveways, paths, and grounds.
- Carry out minor plumbing, carpentry, and general handywork as required
- Inspect premises for maintenance issues and safety hazards, and report or rectify them.
- Use and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and keep work areas clean and tidy.
The suitable applicant should:
- Have minimum of 2 years relevant experience in property maintenance, repairs, or a related trade area, or be willing to undertake on-the-job training.
- Have practical skills across general repairs, painting, basic carpentry, and grounds maintenance.
- Be competent and safe in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Be physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors.
- Be reliable, well organised, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Hold a current driver's licence (desirable).
- Understand workplace health and safety practices.
The employer will offer:
- A full-time contract for at least 3 years, extendable for further term.
- An annual salary of $68,000 - $72,000 (negotiable) + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidates with relevant qualification and experience.
