Position Overview
Greenspace is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to manage the day-to-day running of the vertical farm (Macrofarm) operations in our new Perth location.
As a Greenspace Macrofarm manager, you will be responsible for the overall running of the Macrofarm, including crop production, staff management and customer service.
The ideal candidate will be someone with a structured and proactive approach. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to lead a small team by example. You will be implementing established processes and procedures and will be Greenspace's local, first point of contact with our Perth customers.
Key Responsibilities
● Manage the day-to-day operations of a controlled environment, vertical farm, including propagation, cultivation and harvesting.
● Monitor and maintain a comprehensive crop production plan to meet customer subscription demands using Greenspace proprietary propagation planning tools.
● Ensure farm operations run efficiently and that orders are always met and quality achieved.
● Contribute to the hands-on requirements of growing and order fulfilment.
● Support and lead team members, providing clear direction and support.
● Manage weekly Macrofarm staff roster and timesheets.
● Deliver training to new Macrofarm staff.
● Control and procure inventory items.
● Contribute to Greenspace's continuous improvement culture around farming practices, including the integration of innovative technologies and sustainable farming methods.
● Contribute to promotional events & marketing campaigns through communications to customers, facilitation of Macrofarm tours and personal appearances at events and in media content.
● Communicate regularly with Sydney based senior management to provide updates and align on priorities.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
