We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate full-time Pastrycook to join our team.
About the Role
As a Pastrycook, you will contribute to the daily preparation and production of high-quality pastries, cakes, buns, biscuits, and other baked goods within a professional bakery environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistency in product quality, and a commitment to food safety and efficient daily production.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and bake pastries, cakes, buns, and other baked goods in accordance with established recipes and baking techniques.
· Monitor product quality, appearance, and consistency to ensure high standards are maintained across all baked products.
· Assist with dough preparation, ingredient measuring, and daily production processes.
· Support daily baking schedules to ensure products are prepared fresh and available throughout operating hours.
· Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with workplace health and hygiene regulations.
· Assist with stock rotation, ingredient storage, and minimising product wastage.
· Work collaboratively with the bakery team to ensure smooth daily operations and timely production.
Skills and Experience
- AQF Certificate III in Patisserie, Certificate IV in Patisserie, or equivalent relevant qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Pastrycook or Baker in a commercial bakery, café, or kitchen environment.
- Sound knowledge of pastry preparation, dough handling, baking techniques, and dessert production.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards.
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently during busy production periods.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work across weekdays, weekends, early mornings, and public holidays as required.
